Hoppy 4th of July!

It’s that time for long summer days, gatherings with friends and family, sparklers, sprinklers, and craft beer. Nothing says 4th of July like American made craft beer. We are so inspired by the work of our amazing brewers, we found no better time than the celebration of America’s independence to celebrate these amazing styles.

These brews pay homage to our founding father’s and we’re excited to pay homage right back. Katherine Lee Bates knew what she was writing about when she referenced “amber waves of grains” in America the Beautiful, and we’re thrilled those grains have translated into some of the finest ingredients in American made craft beer!

Grab a growler to go or join us at Growler USA for pints brewed to perfection – to celebrate our great country, and a long weekend! Cheers!

21st Amendment Brewing Company: Brew Free or Die IPA – This well hopped IPA reminds you that it’s great to be free and it’s great to have the freedom to select your IPA of choice. On the 4th of July weekend, we remind you that this three hopped brew pairs best with freedom, bbq’s and best friends.

Anchor Brewing Company: Liberty Ale – This classic was first brewed in 1975 – which essentially makes it a founding father of the craft beer industry. This brew is still classically made and reminds us why we got into craft beer in the first place. First brewed to celebrate the bicentennial of Paul Revere’s historic ride, there is no better day than the 4th of July to enjoy this classic. Just don’t go around yelling at your friends’ BBQ that “The British are coming; the British are coming”. You might freak them out.

Cigar City: Homefront IPA – Nothing says “land of the free, home of the brave” like this patriotic brew. This IPA brings woodsy aromas crafted from donated Louisville Slugger maple bats and infused with orange peels, which brings a balance of citrus and bitter hops. Cigar City donates proceeds of this brew to Soldiers Angels – so crack a brew and thank those who have kept our red, white and blue safe and sound.

Surley Brewing Company: #MERICA – Surley said it best “’Tis for thee, sweet beer of liberty!” This pre-Prohibition American lager truly captures the essence of a beer style born in the good ‘ol USA. Brewed with traditional corn as a substitute for barley malt along side some soft hops to add mild fruity and herbal notes, #Merica! is perfect for hot summer days and the celebration of America’s birth!

Mayflower Brewing Company: Summer Belgian Session Ale – We can thank the Pilgrim’s for bringing beer over on the Mayflower. They knew what we know now – beer is far better than water. Based in Plymouth, MA, where the Pilgrim’s originally settled, Mayflower keeps their focus on tradition, history and the legacy of the Pilgrims and their brewing techniques. This Summer Belgian Session is light, dry and spicy, pairs perfect with steamed mussels, lobsters or whatever you may have on the grill.

Stone Brewing Company: Enjoy By 7.04.18 – Stone boasts its independence with this version of their Enjoy by series, and no better time to celebrate independence than on the celebration of America’s Independence. This incredibly fresh, unfiltered double IPA is fruity and delicious and packs a punch, just like your 4th of July celebration!
