The doldrums of winter are behind us and spring has sprung! So, put away those LL Bean boots, break out the flip flops and make your way to a Growler USA patio near you. It’s time to lighten up your beverage selection with some drinkable IPAs, Radlers, wheats and pilsners, with some tarts and sours, too!

With up to 100 taps, Growler USA has the brews to style up your spring. Pull up a seat on the patio and enjoy your patio-season pint with a Cobb Salad or Shroomaster Burger. Keg availability will vary at each Growler USA location, but here are a few of our favorite warm-weather recommendations:

Odell Brombeere Blackberry Gose – the bears have come out of hibernation and you should, too! Odell brews up this sour blackberry ale to be a little bit sweet and a little bit sour. This gose (pronounced “GOES-uh” for those who may be new to the style) complements the sweet heat of early summer.

Dogfish Head Festina Peche – oh so peachy! A nod to the Belgians, this Berliner Weisse is brewed with a familiar and favorite summer flavor: peach. Available May-August, you best get your hands on this tart peach liquid before the sun sets on the season.

Founders All Day IPA – Founders brews this session IPA year-round, but it feels like it was created for patio season. With a low ABV clocking in at 4.7% – but 45 IBU’s – this sessionable IPA satisfies hop lovers who want to patio surf well past the afternoon into the evening.

Firestone Easy Jack IPA – Easy Jack reminds you to slow down and enjoy the simple pleasures in life – like a cold beer and a warm patio. This easy-going IPA is dry-hopped with hops from New Zealand, Europe and North America that deliver on flavor in a smooth, mellow way.

Bell’s Oberon American Wheat Ale – this wheat ale was brewed for summer. It’s a ray of sunshine in a glass. Oberon is fermented with Bell’s signature house ale yeast, mixing a spicy hop character with mildly fruity aromas. The hazy golden-orange color of this pour will match your sunny, patio-induced disposition.

Sierra Nevada Nooner – what’s the perfect time for a patio beer? Noon. Sierra Nevada nailed this philosophy with their take on the traditional German style pilsner – which is one of the original session beers. What are you waiting for? It’s noon somewhere!

Denver Beer Company Princess Yum Yum – it’s patio season for the Princess! This traditional kolsch is brewed with real raspberries and truly deserves the crown for summer. But don’t let the pink hue phase you – we all need a little Princess in our lives.

Boulevard Brewing Company Lemon Ginger Radler – the term Radler takes it’s name from the German word for “cyclist.” Aptly-named, Radlers were originally brewed as a post-race thirst quencher. There’s no question that this a great brew for those sweltering summer days, even if the most strenuous thing you do is 16oz curls!

Cheers to kicking off patio season and the unofficial start of summer – we look forward to seeing you at Growler USA!
