Craft Beverage Spot Makes Nebraska Debut with Omaha Pub Opening

Omaha, NE – (March 2017) – Craft beer has a growing presence in Nebraska, and Omaha will soon have a new spot in town for a premium craft beverage experience when Growler USA® debuts at 16268 Evans Plaza. The Omaha pub marks the first in state, and will offer more than 100 taps of craft beverages from local and regional brewers.

Opening on March 15, Growler USA is dedicated to pouring only 100 percent American-made craft beverages, featuring draft selections from Nebraska brewing companies like Scratchtown, Brickway, Empyrean, Lucky Bucket, Nebraska Brewing, Scriptown, and Zipline. In addition to microbrew beer, the pub serves hard cider, mead, several draft sodas, cold-pressed coffee and kombucha. Growler USA also offers beer flights, and growlers to-go for those interested in purchasing something to enjoy at home.

The pub is owned and operated by husband and wife duo Brent Malnack and Mars Booth. The pair met while performing together in a band in the 1980s and have always valued the power of music. When Mars decided to leave her job and open a business, the couple turned to Growler USA, where they could combine their love of craft beer and authentic, live music. Along with their band, Naïve Filter, the Growler USA pub in Omaha will feature live bands playing primarily original music a few nights each week.

“We want our pub to be a place where the community can come together and enjoy craft drinks, delicious food and original music,” said Brent. “We couldn’t be more excited to be bringing Growler USA to Omaha to provide this new, original hang-out spot.”

In addition to craft beverages, Growler USA offers a beer-inspired food menu with twists on American classics, like Nitro BBQ Cheddar Bacon Burger, Brewben Sandwich, or the Chicken Avocado Club.

The new spot welcomes guests with rustic, reclaimed wood bar tops and eco-friendly bamboo tabletops. The Growler USA commitment to the craft beer movement is articulated in its True to the Brew™ philosophy that ensures each craft beverage is conditioned, held and dispensed as fresh and spirited as the brewer intended. That approach includes Cicerone® Certified Beer Server training for all servers and beer tenders.

“The Omaha community has a growing love for craft beer, but has never experienced something like this,” said Dan White, CEO and founder of Growler USA. “With over 100 taps on hand as well as this location’s thriving music atmosphere, we are sure that the community will love Nebraska’s first Growler USA.”

Growler USA is a national franchise headquartered in Centennial, Colorado. The brand currently has 10 locations in Arizona, North Carolina, Texas, Florida, Hawaii, Colorado, Georgia and Washington.
